LNG – Small scale LNG carrier

The small scale LNG carrier has a capacity of 15000 cbm of LNG in 3 Type-C tanks, with efficient hull form, model tested at KRISO, PR Korea. The design is conceptualized to ship LNG in small and medium sized parcels, and to reach markets where pipelines and traditional LNG carriers are not viable.

The design features an eco-friendly dual fuel engine, onboard nitrogen generators & BOG compressors, and gas combustion unit for emergency pressure control & combustion of heel while switching grades.

• Multi-grade* – Carriage of LNG, LPG & ethylene (2G): More employable
• Multi-mode – Operation in atmospheric mode or as pressure vessel depending on the requirement of receiving terminal
• Multi-Cargo* – Carriage of two products at the same time
• Dual fuel – Seamless switch over between fuels
• Multi-pronged BOG Management – pressure accumulation, liquefaction, consumption as fuel for engine and generators & combustion
• Cargo manifolds at multiple heights – Flexibility in loading from small and large terminals
• Unrestricted filling – Consideration for free surface (stability) and sloshing effects
