Cadet Training Ship (CTS) is designed as lightly armed, steel hull vessel suitable for operation in India and worldwide. The vessel is capable of operating under tropical conditions.

Role & Capabilities

The Training Ship:

• Provides basic sea training to naval cadets.
• Detects hostile small craft, trawlers and fast boats in area of operation.
• Carries out Disaster Relief.
• Carries out Search and Rescue.

The ship is capable of operating light helicopters and carrying out COMINT/ ELINT
